Synovo 2.0

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This policy explains what data Synovo collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. Synovo is a product of Crusader Softwares Ltd ("we", "us", "our").

1. Our privacy principles

Synovo is designed to keep your voice recordings private. Audio is transcribed in memory only and is never written to disk, databases, backups, or logs on our servers. Only the transcript and summary text that you choose to save is retained in your account.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to operate the service:

  • Account information — your email address and authentication details when you sign up or sign in.
  • Content you save — the transcripts, notes, and summaries you explicitly choose to save to your account.
  • Billing information — subscription status, plan, and billing history. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and are not stored on our servers.
  • Usage data — recording minutes and summary counts, used to enforce plan limits.
  • Technical data — basic device, browser, and error information needed to keep the service running securely.

3. Audio & transcription

When you record or upload audio, it is streamed to our AI transcription provider, transcribed, and immediately discarded from memory. We do not save the audio file to any storage system and it is not accessible to us after transcription completes. Only the resulting text is returned to your device, and only what you save is kept.

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • provide, maintain, and improve the service;
  • authenticate your account and secure it against unauthorised access;
  • process subscriptions, renewals, and billing;
  • enforce plan limits and prevent abuse;
  • respond to your support requests;
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your saved content to train general-purpose AI models.

5. Service providers

We use trusted third-party providers to run the service. Each processes only what is necessary for their role:

  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
  • Cloud hosting & database — to store your account, saved transcripts, and summaries.
  • AI providers — for in-memory speech transcription and summary generation. Audio is not retained by us and is subject to the provider's own retention terms for transient processing.
  • Email provider — for transactional emails such as sign-in links and billing notifications.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and saved content for as long as your account is active. When you delete a transcript or summary it is removed from our database. When you delete your account, your saved content is deleted. We may retain limited billing and legal records for as long as required by law.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage most of your data directly from your account settings, or contact us via the Contact page for anything else.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest, including TLS for all connections and access controls on our infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password and keep your credentials confidential.

9. Children

Synovo is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you. The "last updated" date above indicates the most recent revision.
